Sessions with Cherie can target specific issues or explore deeper elements such as our values and purpose in life.
How 1:1 sessions work:
Sessions with Cherie are ideally taken as a series of 6-10 to support your journey of healing, self-discovery, growth, and behavioural change. Teenage years and young adulthood is a special time of discovering more about who you are as a person, your strengths, gifts, what matters to you, and how to make decisions that affect your wellbeing and life direction. This service helps you to navigate your way through emotional difficulty, times of rapid development, changing relationships, and perhaps tough situations you may be facing. Additionally, these years are full of opportunity and learning new self-empowerment skills, which counselling can help you make the most of.
Book in with Cherie directly – email firstname.lastname@example.org to request a call back. We will have a chat first to ensure these sessions are the right fit for what you need.
Prior to your first session, you will receive your Intake and Orientation Pack, which orients you to all the details you need to know, covers confidentiality, asks you to provide basic information, and asks about your goals for the work. You then receive a Starter Kit to make the most of your program.
Meanwhile, if you wish to access this service through the Medicare Better Access Scheme for bulk billing, your sessions will be in-person (face-to-face) at Suite 1, 108 Stuart Street, Mullumbimby, NSW. You need to see your GP first to request, and ensure you qualify for, a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). MHCPs are available to those who experiencing significant concerns in any area of mental health and eligibility is assessed by your GP. The MHCP must be addressed to “Cherie Levy.”
You may opt to do this work by distance over phone or Skype, and these sessions are subject to Private Health cover. Unfortunately, phone and online sessions are not covered by Medicare.

More about Medicare rebates: Mental Health Care Plans (MHCP)
GP’s may prepare a ‘Better Access’ Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) to refer their patients for psychological support. MHCPs can be used by patients to access both individual and group sessions. Eligibility is assessed by your GP and close monitoring and review by your GP is recommended. A standard (“Better Access”) plan will allow for six therapy sessions, then following a GP review you may be eligible for another four sessions, to a maximum of ten claimable sessions per calendar year. Medicare pays a rebate of $84.80 for the cost of these sessions.
Private Health Insurance
You may be eligible to claim rebates for therapy through your private health insurance provider. Growing Together is registered with all of the major private health insurance providers. Please speak directly to your private health insurance fund for further information regarding your eligibility.
